Reflectors are products that direct sound by deflecting it to dead areas. Diffusers are products that scatter sound thus making a smoother less harsh sound in a room. Both typically used to enhance music reproduction in a space.

Absorptive products are usually soft porous materials that soak up reflected sound within a room. Sound gets trapped in the product and loses intensity as it tries to escape.
