Absorption Products are those, which reduce and
absorb reverberation and reflection off hard surfaces.
The best use of absorptive products in Recording studio
applications are to attenuate perceived noise and reverberation
in the room where the sound source is. These absorbing
products are rated with a comparative N.R.C. number. Typically,
these N.R.C. numbers are averaged from the broad band
frequencies tested from 250 Hz (low frequency) to 2000
Hz (high frequency). The middle frequencies of 500-1000
Hz are voice frequencies. Remember to check the absorption
or NRC at the frequency that you have the biggest problem
and match the best product at that frequency for your
recording studio application. Sound Absorption products
are porous and will allow sound to pass through and be
soaked up by the product. |
