Sound Barriers and acoustical products
that block sound from traveling from one area to another. These
sound barrier products usually involve some mass to block airborne
sound transfer and vibration. Sound barrier products carry a
comparative STC number that correlates with the expected Db
reduction at certain frequencies when using the product. Composite
materials are sound barrier products that usually add a level
of absorption as well to condition the room the noise source
is in and to block noise from going to other areas. |
