Sealants and Adhesives
ASI Pro Audio Sealants and Adhesives
are products that meet the high standards required for great
acoustical installation. Acoustic sealant helps in adding to
a wall system's STC or sound blocking dynamics and have been
tested to add up to 11% the STC of a wall construction. Our
ASI Pro Audio Adhesives are products that make installs a snap
weather it be spray adhesives, latex, adhesives, aggressive
adhesives for overhead applications or adhesives that work with
our various underlay (flooring) products. |

Applying the Glue
|
|
|
1. To prepare
the glue mixture, read the manufacturer's instructions because,
once it is mixed, there is very little time to apply it. Wear
rubber gloves to avoid all contact. |
|
|
2. Proceed with
the application of the glue by lifting half of one Neutra-Phone
panel and half of a second panel |
|
|
3. Spread the
glue over the whole surface using a 3/16" (5mm) V-trowel.
Do not apply too much glue; this will not increase the panel's
adherence. Any excess glue will cause undulations in the Neutra-Phone
and cause problems during the installation of the floor covering.
Do the fist half of the panel, then the other half. For smaller
pieces, take them out completely; apply the glue, and put them
back in place. Continue applying the glue under all the Neutra-Phone
panels. |
|
|
4. When you
have finished, be sure that the corners and panel's edges are
completely flat. If necessary, use the floor-covering containers
as weights. |
|
|
5. Avoid walking
on the panels during the entire drying cycle |
|
|
6. Allow to
dry for at lease 24 hours before installing the plywood or follow
the recommendations of the glue manufacturer. |
