Insulation
Sound Insulation products are absorptive
products that are3 made of Polyurethane - Polyether or Melamine
foams. All open cell foams are absorptive and will give good
acoustical results. These products can be convoluted to various
decorative and acoustically functional facings. These acoustic
foam absorbers typically carry an NRC number that shows what
percentage of absorption the various products have at certain
key frequencies. Be sure you understand that Melamine foam is
the only true Class A-1 ASTM - E84 Non flammable foam. All others
are somewhat flammable and should not be used where fire or
building codes require a
Class A-1 finish. |
